How to rate each one

5 · Must-havewe need this
Every question spells out its own 1 / 3 / 5 — the anchors say what your score does to a home. Roughly: 1 = don't rank on it · 3 = tie-breaker · 5 = a must. Gut-reaction rows (land, garden, pool…) flip: 1 = you'd dislike it, 5 = you'd love it. Risk rows: rate low to avoid. The little tag (LIVE WITH, VERIFY…) says whether it's fixable — answer as if it's not, unless proven otherwise. Leave a note anytime there's a "because…".
